Policy

Most privacy policies bury the good news. Here it is up front: we don't collect anything about you. Here's the full scorecard.

−18Data we collect on you

No accounts. No analytics. No advertising. No tracking. No servers to send anything to. Bogey Bar is a clean round — everything you do stays on your own device.

1

What we collect

Par: nothing

Nothing. Bogey Bar does not collect, transmit, sell, rent, or share any personal information. There is no sign-up and no login, so the app never asks for your name, email, phone number, or location, and it has no way to identify you.

2

What stays on your device

On-device only

So an in-progress round survives you closing the app, Bogey Bar saves your game data in your device's local app storage:

🏌️
Player names & scoresThe names you type and the strokes you log each hole.
⚖️
Penalties & round historyThe forfeits, rewards and chaos events from your round.
⚙️
Your settingsGame mode, hole count, and chaos-wheel frequency.

This data never leaves your device and is never sent to us — we have no servers to receive it. Player names are whatever you choose to type; nicknames work perfectly and the app neither needs nor checks real names. Deleting the app, or tapping Fresh start inside it, removes this data completely.

3

Network & third parties

One request

The app works fully offline. The only time it reaches the internet is on first launch with a connection, when it loads two display fonts from Google Fonts (fonts.googleapis.com and fonts.gstatic.com). This is a standard web request handled by Google and subject to Google's Privacy Policy. The fonts are then cached on your device and the app needs no connection again.

Bogey Bar makes no other network requests. There are no analytics SDKs, no advertising networks, no social logins, and no third-party trackers of any kind.

4

Permissions

Zero

Bogey Bar requests no device permissions. No location, no contacts, no camera, no microphone, no photos, and no storage access beyond the app's own private sandbox.

5

Children & age

18+

Bogey Bar is intended for adults aged 18 and over. The app shows an age confirmation at launch, and all alcohol-related content is disabled for anyone who indicates they are under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children — because the app does not collect information at all. If you believe a child has used the app, there is no data for us to hold, access, or delete.

6

Your rights

Fully in hand

Under the UK GDPR, the EU GDPR, and similar laws, you have rights over your personal data — to access it, correct it, export it, or have it erased. Because we hold no personal data about you, there is nothing on our side to action. Your data lives entirely on your own device and is entirely under your control: clear it any time with Fresh start or by uninstalling the app.

One for the 19th

Play safe
Drink responsibly.

Bogey Bar contains optional drinking-game content for adults. Every drinking forfeit can be taken with a soft drink, and a permanent Designated Driver mode removes alcohol entirely. Know your limits, look after your group, and never drink and drive — golf buggies included.

Changes to this policy

We'll tell you

If a future version of the app changes how data is handled — for example, by adding optional online features — we will update this policy and revise the effective date before that version is released.
